Before you join

A few things to know.

Who can take part?

Families and caregivers, people receiving or planning for care, experienced caregivers, friends, neighbors and people who want to help. You do not need to use the word “caregiver” for yourself to belong.

Is there a fee to join a group?

Participation is free for families and community members. No purchase or contribution is required to take part.

Do I need to belong to a church?

No. Groups may meet in a church or another community space, but welcome people of every faith and no faith. Support never depends on religious participation.

Do I have to share my story?

No. Listening is welcome. Share only what feels comfortable, and choose any follow-up for yourself.

Can I bring someone who needs care?

Senior adults are welcome to participate and socialize, but their attendance is never required. Family caregivers may attend with or without their loved one. Ask the local host about access; anyone needing individual assistance attends with their own support person. Groups do not provide supervised or drop-off care.

How are professional connections handled?

Our professional membership pathway includes qualifications review, separate orientation and an agreement on conduct before invitations to family gatherings. Local stewards coordinate participation and permission-based introductions. Families choose which connections to pursue. Explore professional membership.
